Hugh Jackman Kicks Off Prudential Center’s Stellar Fall Lineup

Golden Globe and Tony Award-winning actor Hugh Jackman will bring the hit concert tour “The Man. The Music. The Show.” to the Prudential Center {25 Lafayette Street, Newark; 973.757.6625; prucenter.com} on Sunday, October 6.

See the hilarious and highly talented Australian actor, also known for his film roles in “X-Men,” “Van Helsing,” and “Kate and Leopold,” demonstrate his Broadway-best performing hit songs from “Les Misérables,” for which his role as Jean Valjean earned him an Academy Award nomination for Best Actor in 2013. Also discover other numbers including tunes from “The Greatest Showman,” “The Boy From Oz,” and much more all to the soundtrack of a live orchestra.

The tour, produced by AEG Presents and TEG-Dainty, kicked off in the UK in May and performed in parts of North America through June, stopping everywhere from the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas, to Madison Square Garden in New York City, and the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles.

A top 10 internationally ranked arena, the Prudential Center is nestled in the central business district in Newark, staging world-class sports and entertainment acts from MTV’s VMA Awards Show and KISS this past summer. Ushering in over 2 million guests per year, the premier center is also home to the National Hockey League’s New Jersey Devils, who are three-time Stanley Cup Champions, Seton Hall University’s NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball program, and the Grammy Museum Experience Prudential Center. This East Coast outpost features educational programming and interactive exhibits, both permanent and traveling, including a spotlight on GRAMMY winners hailing from New Jersey.
