Calling all sweet tooths!

BROWNSTONE PANCAKE FACTORY {717 East PalisadeAvenue, Englewood Cliffs; 201.945.4800; brownstonepancakefactory.com}
has brought its sinfully delicious pancakes and shakes to the suburbs of Englewood Cliffs. Now open on the grounds of the shuttered Central Kitchen, the Engelwood Cliffs location marks the third outpost of the popular pancake house.

The restaurant’s modern day chic aesthetic carries on to the new location with light wooden tables, partitions, and newspaper-themed wall art designed by interior designer Vanessa Deleon. The new outpost also sports an expanded kitchen as well as a larger parking lot. But the real draw is their famous menu of pancakes.

Sumptious stacks include the Banana Walnut, PB&J, and Oreo Cookie. Bottles of their Brownstone syrup are available at every table, ready to drizzle over any shortstack.

Come hungry for the Brownstone’s daily specials. From a National S’mores Day-inspired chocolate waffle topped with toasted marshmallows and
Hershey’s to a stack of Reese’s Peanut Butter Cheesecake pancakes, daily specials wow the eyes as well as the palates.

“We’ve taken something as simple as pancakes and really taken it to another level,” says owner Bobby Bournias. “We do really fun, creative
things with our food.” This creativity has led to a whopping 45,000-plus followers on Instagram. Bournias attributes their social success to their over-the-top pancakesas well as their extreme shakes. Their “ultimate insane shakes” range from Waffle Ice Cream Sandwich to Brownie Explosion. Monstrous appetites need to try their “insane shake of the week.” Past concoctions have included a Peanut Butter Nutter Butter shake made with real Nutter Butter cookies, and the Caramel Cracker Jack stacked with miniature pancakes, caramel sauce, and whipped cream. For a limited time this season, their Pumpkin Spice Cheesecake Shake is sure to tickle the senses. Not only is this shake topped with whip cream and savory candy corn, drizzled in caramel sauce, but atop it all lies a hunk of Pumpkin Spice Cheesecake.

Apart from intoxicatingly sweet dishes, The Brownstone also serves organic acai bowls, freshly squeezed juice, and Benedicts. Savory pancake wraps are also a favorite, like the Guy Fieri’s Triple “D” Buffalo Chicken Pancake Wrap made with Buffalo fried chicken, mozzarella, roasted peppers, and blue cheese, bundled in an oversized pancake. Can’t make brunch? Lunch and Dinner are sure to please with a menu of burgers, salads, sandwiches and other inventive platters. The new outpost also serves alcohol, so feel free to complement any meal with an ice cold brew or cocktail.

Attracting families with little ones and adults with a serious sweet tooth, Brownstone Pancake Factory is sure to satisfy any appetite. Oh, don’t forget to grab a stick of cotton candy on your way out! With our offices right down the street, we know where we’re headed for brunch!
