Tara Jean McDonald Bonanno boasts a distinguished career in the media industry spanning over two decades. 

She holds the title of Publisher at Dining Out Jersey Shore Magazine, a prominent publication at the Jersey Shore. During her time in the industry, she has produced and hosted numerous NJ Discover TV and Dining Out Jersey video and radio segments. These segments feature interviews with celebrities, philanthropists, musicians, chefs, mixologists, and entrepreneurs, providing them with a platform to share their stories.

Tara Jean has published a column and blog titled Yours Truly TJ. She was the Host on the local MCTV-77, NJ Discover Radio Show, Fashion Haunts, and NJ Discover TV.

Co-Host, Cristine Floyd, a native of Brooklyn, NY, attended Johnson & Wales University.  Her career led her to work at renowned restaurants and then become a Food Reviewer for Wine and Dine. After returning to New Jersey, she continued her work at high-end restaurants as a Sous Chef and later as Assistant Manager at The Mill.

Cristine’s job as a Food Reviewer in 2010 for Wine and Dine reignited her passion for food. Reviewing restaurants all over the Tri-State area was a dream come true for her. She had the opportunity to review restaurants like Megu, the high-end Japanese Restaurant in NYC, and Fraunces Tavern on Pearl St in NYC, among others. Cristine worked as Co-Host for Danny Coleman’s Rock on Radio for six years, talking with musicians and local personalities. Now, she is sharing her expertise and experience as co-host for Dining Out Jersey Radio.

The owner of Diane Catering, she and her team create turnkey, unforgettable experiences for clients. With a heart for nonprofits such as Autism Speaks, Boomer Esiason Foundation, and Jon Bon Jovi’s nonprofit CommunityRestaurant, JBJ Soul Kitchen, Diane loves giving back.

An interview with Chef Bobby JohnsonThe first Clementine’s was ‘born’ in Asbury Park on 5th Ave. between Main and Memorial. The small space had a lovely courtyard and accommodated 22 people. Now located at 306 Main Street at Avon by the Sea, for the past 21 years, Clementine’s has been one of the most loved restaurants at the Jersey Shore. In 2019, Owners Chef Bobby Johnson and Michael Rathsmith opened their new restaurant, the Bistro by Clementine’s, just a few doors down on MainStreet. Chef Bobby sat with us to talk about how it all began.

Growing up in New Jersey, Jesse Bongiovi lived a life different from the average kid. His father is the famous rock Star Jon Bon Jovi. No one can deny that the Bongiovi family name has made a significant impact on the music industry, but there is more than musical talent that drives their passion for success.  Jesse grew up around music, philanthropy, restaurants, Jersey beaches, and great family values. But like a“hometown boy, born a rolling stone,” Jesse’s passion for making his mark on the wine-making industry led him to a vineyard in Southern France where he helped create one of the country’s most celebrated and prestigious rosé wines.

A DAY IN THE LIFE–Chef David Burke

Spending a day with Chef David Burke gave us a taste of the effervescent life of a restaurateur and celebrity chef who is a true native of the Jersey Shore.  Chef David Burke is meticulous, charming, and tough. With his tousled hair and iconic eyeglasses, he efficiently manages 16 restaurants across America. He is actively involved in each and dedicates his time traveling to New Jersey, New York, and North Carolina for business. When he finds time to relax, he can usually be found having brunch in a Jersey Shore town, at a gallery in Red Bank, or basking in the view from his beautiful Atlantic Highlands home.

Chef James Avery

James Avery’s passion for the culinary and hospitality industry started working at a pizzeria in his teens, and that was all she wrote. He earned a Culinary Arts degree at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale before returning to his roots here in Jersey. James has worked alongside amazing chefs like David Burke, Michael Mina, and Gordon Ramsey. He was a chef for Ramsey’s“Kitchen Nightmares” and “Hell’s Kitchen.” James helped open the iconic Dos Caminos and its three sister restaurants at Harrah’s Resort in Atlantic City. In the summer of 2014, he became the Asbury Festhall & Biergarten Executive Chef’s Executive Chef and partner at the Bonney Read in Asbury Park. In 2021, James opened The Black Swan, a European gastropub where he is the chef-owner.
