Spring at the Jersey Shore means one thing—lingering a little longer at the table. From Mimosa-filled brunches to sunlit lunches by the water, this is the season to gather, celebrate, and savor every bite. With Easter, Mother’s Day, and Father’s Day on the horizon, local favorites are setting the scene with everything from elegant buffets to laid-back, flavor-packed menus. Whether you’re indulging in Blueberry Cheesecake–Stuffed French Toast in Point Pleasant or easing into the afternoon with fresh seafood and cocktails in Long Branch, there’s something for every mood—dressed up or casually coastal. We’ve rounded up the best spots to brunch, lunch, and toast to spring—because at the Shore, the best meals turn into moments.

Aberdeen

This endless buffet is held just one Sunday each month. Expect a high-energy event that brings together one of New Jersey’s liveliest brunch crowds for a celebration filled with flavor and fun. Guests can indulge in a full brunch buffet while sipping a complimentary welcome mimosa, then hit   

Asbury Park   

Palmetto Southern Kitchen + Bar  {1000 Ocean Avenue; 7323613639; palmettoasburypark.com} This Charleston-inspired venue shines at brunch, offering Southern staples like fried green tomatoes, She Crab Soup, Pimento Mac-n-Cheese, grits, biscuits, cornbread, and lobster rolls. Lil’ plates, handhelds, salads, and granola-style fare round out the menu. Sunday drink favorites include the Mimosa Tower, Boardwalk Beast Bloody Mary, and all the brunch classics. Hours: Sundays 10 am–5 pm; live music 1–4 pm. Pricing: $10–25.    

Freehold  

The Standard at The American Hotel  {18 E Main Street; 7324-313-220; thestandardnj.comSet inside the historic American Hotel, The Standard blends American fare with upscale flair and old-world charm. Sunday brunch is served à la carte and includes a complimentary mimosa, with favorites ranging from Eggs Benedict to the Elvis Waffle and Avocado Toast. A full bar and soft drinks are always available. Holiday brunch buffets run from 10 am–3 pm and feature seasonal breakfast and lunch selections. Easter includes a visit from the Easter Bunny; Mother’s Day features an elegant spread; Father’s Day adds a slider station to the mix. Pricing: Approximately $58 adults/children; ages three and under free (plus tax & gratuity). Parking: Free. Highlands

Guests can enjoy favorites like avocado toast with whipped feta and herb salsa, a decadent pork roll, jam, and brie croissant sandwich, or the hearty Captain’s Breakfast featuring house-smoked salmon, crispy potatoes, and farm eggs. For a lighter option, the smoked Hiddenfjord salmon on toasted sourdough with fresh vegetables and pickled cabbage delivers a fresh, refined take on a brunch staple. Sundays: 11 am-3:30 pm Brunch, Easter Sunday & Mother’s Day Brunch: 10 am-3:30 pm   

Point Pleasant  

B2 Bistro & Bar   (709 Arnold Avenue; 732-295-0709; b2bistro.comKnown for its rustic industrial charm—brick fireplaces, reclaimed wood, and an open kitchen—B2 Bistro offers a lively brunch every Saturday (11 am–2 pm) and Sunday (10 am–2 pm). The space has an inviting warmth, especially on cooler mornings when the fireplaces glow, and the dining room fills with the aromas of fresh herbs, sizzling bacon, and woodfired specialties. The menu spans Eggs Benedict, omelets, biscuits and gravy, Breakfast Pizza, and the standout Blueberry Cheesecake–Stuffed French Toast. Guests can also expect seasonal specials, shareable plates, and thoughtful touches that elevate familiar brunch favorites. Rumson

Sunday’s Pony Express Brunch blends traditional favorites with inventive dishes curated by Chef David Burke. Expect an omelet bar, Pastrami Smoked Salmon, Shrimp Cocktail, Carved Beef Tenderloin, Donut Bread Pudding French Toast, and Chicken & Waffles—all served with Burke’s signature theatrical flair.
