For Tami, bar manager at The Brick House in Wyckoff, hospitality isn’t just a job—it’s a lifelong passion. “I’ve been in the hospitality industry for quite some time,” she says. “Basically half of my life!” Over the years, she’s built her skills—and her fan base—at standout spots like Stony Hill Inn, Arturo’s, and Restaurant L. But for the past nine years, The Brick House has been her “work home.”
What sets Tami apart behind the bar? She says it comes down to being personable—tuning in to what each guest is looking for and creating a drink experience that hits the mark. In Tami’s words, it’s all about “being able to deliver what the customer is looking for.” Her ability to connect with customers while keeping the cocktails flowing is what makes her stand out shift after shift.
“I love meeting and creating relationships with my customers, both new and old,” she says. “But most of all, I love putting a smile on someone’s face with a great cocktail.” Her motto sums it up: “Behind the bar, we mix more than drinks; we mix people and memories.”
This season, Tami’s go-to is A Blue Departure—a sophisticated, bittersweet sipper with elegant depth and bright citrus balance, created exclusively for ourJohnnie Walker Blue List says, “will have you feeling refreshed and happy!”
